9.2 ILS Course Cancellation

ILS reserves the right to cancel any event or course for reasons which are beyond our control, which include illness or insufficient student numbers. If ILS cancels an event or course, fees paid prior will be refunded in full.

10. Liability

Note that nothing ILS, our staff or faculty says at any event or course, or on any recording is intended as prescriptive advice, and as such, clients, participants and purchasers are advised to seek appropriate medical or psychiatric advice.

11. Participation

Success in our program requires a full commitment by all participants. By enrolling in a short module course or the full ILS Master Coach program, you agree to be fully present during all classes and participate to the best of your ability. This includes arriving on time, abiding by the code of conduct, and engaging in course activities.

11.1 Illness or absenteeism

To provide you with the minimum required training hours for certification, it is important that you are present at all course classes. If you have an emergency or become ill and are not able to attend a coaching session, please contact your ILS representative immediately.

You will be expected to complete the session materials, review the session recording, and complete a coaching session outside the live session to make up for the missed session. If you need to miss more than 10% synchronous hours of the module or full course, you will have the option to work with the instructor to cover the missed material at your own expense, and to repeat the class when it runs again in the next semester at no charge.

If you miss more than 2 hours of group mentor coaching, you will need to arrange and pay for individual mentor coaching classes to complete the required 10 hours of mentor coaching to satisfy the International Coaching Federation requirements.

Petitions to this policy are considered on a case-by-case basis and must be submitted in writing to the instructor and ILS.

11.2 Course Engagement

Our courses are designed to be interactive and engaging for our participants. Therefore, you are expected to participate in course activities, including dialogue with the course instructor and peers, mock coaching activities, and experiential learning exercises. If you cannot participate in an activity, please inform your instructor as soon as possible. Please refer to the code of conduct for additional details.

11.3 Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner during all classes. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Arriving on time for all classes.
  • Attending all live classes and mentor coaching classes.
  • Having your camera on for virtual live classes.
  • Participating fully in all classes and mentor coaching classes. This includes being prepared for the session, involving yourself in discussions and activities, assuming responsibility for your learning, and contributing to the learning of others.
  • Engaging in discussions with integrity and honesty.
  • Being respectful of your fellow participants and instructors, including silencing your cell phone, not texting, and other disruptive behaviors.
  • Embracing diversity and inclusion while respecting the dignity and humanity of others.

Should you have a pre-existing psychological or medical condition, we recommend that you consult with your doctor before attending our classes.

Classes and events can elicit emotions and trigger strong feelings for some, which we do our best to create a safe, loving space to support; however, ILS staff and faculty are not qualified psychologists or therapists and therefore are not a replacement for therapy. We cannot be held responsible for your emotional well-being during our classes and events.

The ILS team reserve the right to ask a participant to leave an online class session or event if they feel the participant is inappropriate, unreasonably disruptive or poses a risk to themselves or others.

12. Transfer of Credit Hours

ILS will accept partial credit hours from other organizations or programs. If you have completed an ICF accredited Level 1 program at another organization, we will apply your completed credit hours to your Level 2 program. You must provide documentation of your Level 1 completion, including the organization, number of hours completed, completion certificate, and contact information for the organization or trainer. You may be asked for additional details or documentation on an as-needed basis. Please contact [email protected] for more information.

13. Screenshots and Images

We reserve the right to take screenshots, photographs or take video and audio recordings of all classes and events. These recordings and images may be viewed on our websites, added to course content, shared on social media platforms, which may include Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube and shared with the International Coaching Federation, which accredits our programs.

Although we endeavor to take all reasonable steps to preserve your anonymity, by enrolling for and booking an online class or event, you are deemed to automatically consent to your voice, image, video or streamed being published online and shared with the ICF.

14. Payments Tuition Fees Policies

By enroling, you agree to pay the tuition fees for the program or short module course that you have selected in advance of the program class dates. ILS may, at its discretion, prevent a participant from attending classes or accessing online learning materials until any unpaid fees are paid.

All enrolments are secured on a first-come, first-served basis.

Purchases and payments for our courses can be made via our secure PayPal system. We don't accept credit or debit card payments via email or by phone as these are not secure methods. Tuition fees are displayed in USD, Euros, British Pounds Sterling and Rands for each course, along with class Zoom dates and times with time zone guides. To arrange to pay for full programs via SWIFT or EFT, please email [email protected].

You are responsible for paying your country's taxes. VAT will be charged when appropriate.

15. Program Credits and Duration

Program class synchronous and asynchronous hours, durations and ICF ACTP, ACSTH or CCE hours are displayed with each short course module and the complete InnerLifeSkills Master Coach program.

15.1 Partial Completion Credits

ILS will offer credit for partial completion of a course. The number of hours awarded to the participant will depend on the number of hours of curriculum received, and completed assignments turned in on time.

If a participant is interested in receiving partial credit for a course in which they are currently or were previously enrolled, they can contact the Director of Training at [email protected] no more than (14) days after the course has ended. Participants must include details about the course in which they were enrolled, the number of credit hours they are seeking, and any additional relevant information. If approved, they will receive a certificate of credit from ILS indicating the number of training hours completed.

16. Statement on Ethics, Integrity and Transparency

As an ICF Accredited provider, ILS adheres to and emphasizes the International Coaching Federation Code of Ethics. The ICF Code of ethics describes the ICF core values, ethical principles, and standards of behavior for all ICF professionals. Meeting these ethical standards of behavior is the first of the ICF core coaching competencies. You can read more about the ICF Code of Ethics here.

Additionally, ILS commits to acting with integrity and transparency. We hold ourselves and our participants to the highest level of integrity and strive to be as transparent as possible by explicitly stating measures to provide programs ethically. We do not believe in using manipulative or dishonest sales tactics and strive to provide a safe and ethical sales process. Further, we work to provide fair and equitable pricing for all programs to ensure access and quality of coaching education.
